What is Sexual Harassment?

This is the unwanted, unprovoked and degrading behaviour which causes anxiety. It usually takes place at work and is perpetrated by people often  ignorant of thier offensive attitude or behaviour.

The definitions of this behaviour can include

• Repeated verbal sexual comments / innuendoes
• A single serious incident
• Physical abuse such as inappropriate touching, or physical contact
• The spreading of sexually malicious rumours
• Offensive of abusive letters, text, emails
• Derogatory mimicking sexual poses, sexual positions or sexual intercourse
• Incidents of stalking
